The Sacred Mirror Of Truth….(Chapter 1)

In the land of demons and fairies, charming princes and sleeping beauties, a young man wandered in the darkness of an ancient forest, seeking the ultimate trophy, the sacred mirror of truth. He was told as a child that God, upon Adam and Eve’s decent to earth, sent along with them a mirror which wooden frame was made from the renowned apple tree of the heavens. It was said that if a mortal soul was to ever to look in that mirror, he will be able to see all the hidden secrets of God’s creation, and in that he will be lifted to the heavens since he no longer has any dwellings with the mortal affairs of the earth. Our young man grew up with one aim and that is to find this mirror. He spent all his growing years reading different books that it’s authors claimed how and where to find the sacred mirror. But it was all of assumptions as some of those, who embarked on the journeys to find it, came back and told their stories of despair and failure. Yet our young man never seized dreaming that he was to find the way to it, and that moment came on an autumn day, which was to change his life forever.

It was late in the day, when he was walking back to his house on the outside the city walls, along the old road by the ancient cemetery. He stopped like he always did, that place had a mystical appeal to him, the calmness that was always present and the smell of the pine trees that surrounded the place always were inviting. “The dead are in peace” that was what he was always told by his late grandmother, “thus nothing was to be feared no ghosts or genies were to dwell in such a place”. She was an old lady of wisdom and faith and she always told him stories of the old times, of the worrier Kings and winged demons, of the beautiful fairies and angels of heavens. When she passed away he was next to her, it was his first encounter with death and strangely it wasn’t frightening , just peaceful, as peaceful as her face looked as she laid there in her bed in that state of everlasting sleep.

As he stood there reflecting on his past memories of his grandmother he noticed someone moving between the grave stones, it gave him a cold shiver, since it was so quite and that person was fully dressed in white. It wasn’t dark yet and he strangely felt an urging curiosity to find out who was that person and what was he doing in the cemetery, he advanced cautiously and as he got closer he was taken out of breath of what he saw, an old man with a face as ancient as time digging a grave………
