What difference does it make
Young or old
Dark hair or grey
Age is but a number
Colour is just a shade
Souls might take shortcuts
They arrive a bit early
Sometimes a bit late
Yet in the beginning
The Divine set them off
For their journeys
All on the same day
About Sam
Cerca Trova is the Latin for ” Seek and you Shall Find “….
I’ve been in constant search for meaningful answers to many issues in my life..i have found some and many are still missing…
I found answers in music, in poetry,in other’s words,and my personal experience…
Yet I’m still seeking answers for so much more…
I would love to share with you what I’ve found so far,and take you along on my journey in seeking the rest…
What a deep thought and written so well. Thank you for sharing and enjoy the rally.
thank you K. Happy Rally to you as well.
so true.. color and age doesn’t make a difference, not to me anyways! and a perfect example of that I feel is blogging. here, all inspire, get inspired and support so nicely! 🙂 I like this poem a lot, Sam!
Wish you continuous inspiration Vinay…:-) thank you for your comment.
So much truth and beauty in your words… After all, it depends on us how we make use of our lives and how we approach them. In our minds and souls we can be young and happy forever. 🙂
Can’t agree more Magdalena…:-)
Interesting poem, Samer. One thing I have observed that can be a real trap is the race to see who can be more “spiritual.” When we think we are “more spiritually advanced” than someone else, or just the opposite, not as “good” as another who is “more spiritual,” we are practicing a kind of arrogance. Life is not a game of football or chess. We are all here is this school called, “life,” most of us still in kindergarden. On the other hand, we are One with our Creator and with each other, which far redeems anything that We may view as failures (which are not at all, of course, just lessons, sometimes for ourselves, sometimes for others. ) Thank you, for your well penned poem and the reflection it encouraged. hugs, pat
Your reflections are always deep Pat, so true the arrogance trap is always there, and we have to be aware of not falling in to it. Human nature is so vulnerable…Hugs, Samer.
Very thought-provoking. Thanks for sharing.
thanks Andy…
I agree, Sam, that we are all on the same path, the same journey. Some of us, and I AM one, have more stubborn souls requiring more intensive lessons. 🙂 But in the end, we are all Divine.
🙂 I like the stubborn Soul…. thank you as always Kim.
divine explorations..
thanks for the treat of beauty.
Thank you Jingle…:-)
journey of the soul … beautiful!
Blaga… thank you as always…:-)
this piece is divine. thank you for the feeling that we are all one 🙂
We are indeed Spoon…:-)
hell yeah! vanity is such a pain! we’re on the same page man!
Thanks Julian…:-)
Thank you for such a positive piece of poetry. It can be funny how things work out for us. A conversion of heart leaning in the direction of Love really pays off big. Virtue is always better to know, not simply believe but to come to embrace her, living the life. Such beauty in such few words. Happy creativity!
Thank you John… welcome to my blog…:-)
Breathtaking Sam!…almost as you’ve pulled it out of my mind
(but with the more beutiful words)
Did you said something about a mirror?…. 🙂
🙂 I guess it is a double sided mirror…. Thank you as always Eclipse.
Lovely Sam-deeply insightful poem ! All differences are indeed man-made!
Thank you …:-)
I have to say that I read this poem before and just didn’t comment because I can see at least two dimensions in it and got a little lost…
Seabell you are an avid reader, that’s for sure. I believe each poem has more than one dimension, actually it has a dimension with each reader. I would like to know what you saw…
Captivating journey of our creation in this piece. Beautiful write ~ Rose

Thank you Krisse…:-)

Thanks as always Trisha…
Great poem! Reminds me of the Tao Ch’ien saying:
Though I am different from you we were born involved in one another.
Thank you Michele…
Time and age, the more you have it, the less it is appreciated perhaps… Lovely poem!
A thought to reflect upon… thanks Ina

Thanks Paulami…
nice one sam! thanks for coming by..
Thanks Five…
We should not define ourselves with definitions from others. Sometimes we categorise people to simplify things, but later do we realised with these boxes, we have started to limit our thoughts and we become myopic and hence we started our stereotypes, isnt it? 😀
Can’t agree more Clariice, thank you for your comment…:-)
I will remember this! Wonderful!

🙂 Thank you for your comment Luna… You put a smile on my face.
I really like this, Sam … the journey of the soul and the spirit …
I have come to realize … short cuts or the long way — matters not in the end … as long as we are moving … wherever we are at the moment – is exactly where we should be!
Thank you for sharing ~
True Becca, we need to keep on moving, to keep on living … thank you for your comment…
We all take different paths and end up in different stories but our steps are what brings us to our destinies. Wonderful poem 🙂
thank you yuuki… 🙂
